So, I usually post these on Mondays but if you follow me on instagram you'll know we were out of town for 6 days in Texas. It was a super fun trip and I'll be sure to blog all about that later! For now...
Here's the recap for week 11 of half marathon training:
Monday: REST -I ran 8.58 miles on Sunday, so I took this as a rest day
Tuesday: 60 minutes of strength training with personal trainer & 3 mile on the treadmill.
Thursday: REST DAY - we flew out to Texas early in the morning & spent the day traveling.
Friday: 3 miles in hot & humid South Texas run with the hubs!
Saturday: REST DAY - we photographed a 12 hour wedding today, so I was not really resting!
Sunday: REST DAY - after the long day we had Saturday, we woke up late and just hung out with some friends and family this day. It was pretty perfect.
TOTAL MILES: 11 miles
Considering we were getting ready for a trip the first part of the week and then we were out of town the other part of the week, I think I did pretty good with my runs. I should have had a long 8 or 9 mile run this week, but oh well, life happens and I think I'll be ok even with missing one long run this week. It won't be easy and I know I'll be hurting, but it will be worth it. Today is exactly one month from the Rock N Roll Half Marathon and I am starting to get both nervous & excited. It's really time to focus and work hard.
