What a difference a week can make! Last weekend I was feeling down and bad about myself. Shopping was a disaster and I was a drag to be around (just ask my kiddos!) This week I increased my miles big time and I feel great! I'm not exhausted and sore like I thought I would be. YAY!! Elysse and I went to a Disney Jr. Live show Saturday morning, while the boys went to a matinee and then we all met up for a yummy lunch. I also went shopping on Saturday and guess what? I found some jeans. I walked into this little boutique shop after exhausting all the regular stores and the super friendly sales person got me into not one but two pairs of jeans I actually liked. Go figure, huh! And to top it off, I also found some cute tops and a dress at some other stores. I hadn't found so much clothes in one day before in...well, I can't even remember it's been that long!
Here's the recap for week 10 of half marathon training:
Monday: 60 minutes of Pure Intensity Training Class
Tuesday: 3.16 miles outdoor evening run
Wednesday: 6.70 miles - outdoor dessert mountain trail run with a running group (this was intense) I was pretty sore after this one. Running on a trail is so different than running on pavement. It was a lot of fun and I'd love to add it to my routine.
Thursday: REST DAY
Friday: 5.05 miles on the treadmill
Saturday: REST DAY
Sunday: 8.58 miles morning run outside.
Total Miles: 23.49
Jason and I are going out of town this Thursday. We're photographing a wedding & taking a few days afterwards as a belated anniversary getaway :) I already have my running shorts packed. Actually, it's the only thing I have packed. I'm really looking forward to this trip, but I have a ton of things to do before we leave so I'm feeling a little overwhelmed right now. I'm sure it'll all get done even if I don't sleep a few nights!
