Lately I feel like I've just been going & going but not really getting anywhere. Anyone else ever feel like this? Things have just been maintaining at home, with work, my weight, etc. I feel like I've only been reacting to things, rather than being proactive. I don't like it. It's all catching up to me and I need to get a handle on this crazy messy life of mine, starting with my home. I do most of my work from home, except of course when we're out shooting a wedding. Besides this blog, I also run my own business as a wedding photographer(i love it).
I don't really mind being at home so much, except that lately I've been feeling like it's full of clutter, especially my home office. Since I run my business and this blog from home, my office is where I spend most of my days and rather than looking like an oasis of productivity, it looks like a storage closet with a computer in the corner. I actually considered taking a picture to show you how out of control it was, but I am too embarrassed. This photo of my desk is proof enough. YIKES! Out of control may have been an understatement.
I've been saying I need to clean it up & get organized but the task seems so overwhelming that I've just been paralyzed. Until now. I am ready to conquer my space and turn it into a room I enjoy being in. I want to find inspiration and a sense of pride when I walk in my office every morning. I am a realist and I know I won't accomplish this in just a weekend. No, this is more like a 2 month project! I came up with an inspiration board on Pinterst (duh!) and I plan to work on it weekly and show you progress as I move along, with a nice big Before & After blog post at the end. Again, just another way of keeping myself accountable.
So, what kind of home and/or organizational projects are you working on right now? I'd love to hear them and some tips to staying organized are always welcomed ;)
