July Fitness Goals

I feel like this year is just zooming on past me! I need life to slow down for me just a little bit.  Anyone else feel like this too?

I didn't post any June fitness goals because well, I didn't have any!  I mean, there's always the goal to lose a few pounds, keep training hard, etc.  But, honestly, last month I felt I was in a funk and I just wanted to get out of it.  The good news is that I did get out of the funk.  I'm feeling more focused now and ready to give myself some goals to crush! HAHAHA ok ok, maybe that was a bit too much for me.  Must be the coffee getting to me ;)

I really hope the adrenaline from running the half marathon and the downhill course help me meet my goal of 2:30!  I haven't been as consistent with my running training as I was the last time, so we'll soon find out.  I can't believe the Bryce Canyon Half Marathon is next Saturday! YIKES!!

The less cheat meals is seriously always a goal.  I have such a hard time with this one on the weekends, especially if we go out to eat with friends or family. I mean, I'm at a nice restaurant.  I love food.  Why would I order plain grilled chicken breast with steamed broccoli when 1)I can have that at home and 2) there are so many tastier options?!? But, I'm working on it...

Focusing on upper body strength training and going to Camp Rhino at least 2 times this month is totally to get me ready for my Spartan weekend coming up in September.  Getting stronger and getting over some of the obstacles during my training are going to be my main focus until September.

I'd love to hear about some of your goals for this month or how you're doing reaching your goals for the year!
