December 2015 Fitness Goals

December.  It's the last month of the year, so let's make it a good one!  I always take some time in December to evaluate where I am and review the year and start making plans for the new year.  However, I don't want December to be a month where I just cruise along without progress.  So, I decided to make this the month I get back on track.  After a not-so-healthy November (more on that in a bit), I am choosing to refocus now and get back to healthier, clean eating and regular workouts.  My goals aren't too specific, but it's exactly what I need to start 2016 off with a clear mindset and a good routine!

Fist though, here's how I did with my November goals:

  1. Like I mention in my Wine & Dine Half Marathon Recap, the race was cut short by 6 miles due to weather, so I didn't actually run a half marathon.  It was more like a 10K.  It's being call the Disney Wine & Dine Quarter Half.  Funny, huh?  So, technically I did complete the race, just no the one I had planned for ;)
  2. Vacation was full of indulgences but I wasn't out of control and made some good choices too, especially on saying no to too many treats and drinks!
  3. The 3-day juice cleanse happened right before our trip to Florida and it went well.  I hadn't done one before and it was a bit rough but I made it. I'm thinking it's something I'd like to keep doing regularly.  Maybe every few months or so.  Who here does regular juice cleanses?  Any tips?
  4. I've been training for the Laughlin Half Marathon and felt good on my 8 mile run 2 weeks ago.  Sadly, I've been dealing with a cold and didn't make it out on my last scheduled long run of 10 miles.  I'm a bit nervous about running sick, but I'm hoping I'll be better in the next 2 days!  EEK

And, here are the goals for December! Basic and to the point!

What goals do you have for December?  Are you ending 2015 with a bang or waiting to start up again in January?  Let's get it!!
