February Fitness Goals

Last week I blogged about my goals for 2016 and my word of the year: Reclaim.  If you've been following along for a bit, you know I also like to share my goals for each month.  It really gives me something to focus on and it helps keep me accountable.  Not to mention, it makes the bigger yearly goals seem more attainable if they're broken down monthly.  So, without further ado, here are my goals for this month: 

With the LA Marathon just 6 days away, I'm getting really nervous and excited about this!  I really do hope I not just survive, but that enjoy it too!  Eating clean and staying hydrated has been tough for me.  So much temptation out there and running makes me hungry! LOL This month I plan to be more aware of what I'm eating and making better choices, even if that means making some sacrifices.  I know that in the long run (pun intended!) it will be better for my overall performance and health.  

I've got the Spartan Super coming up just about 1 month after running the marathon and I'm really looking forward to training and getting stronger.  With all the running I've been doing, my cross training has been reduced to just once a week and I can really tell my upper body strength has suffered.  But, I'll be back to my more regular training soon and I can't wait!
