VidañaBeauty Skin Products Review

Howdy! Have you missed me? I sure have missed blogging lately.  I've been in the process of buying a home and it has literally taken up so much of my time.  We finally closed on July 21st and have been busy packing and cleaning for the big move on July 30th!  Add to that, working and trying to get out there and check things off our summer bucket list and you as you can imagine I am one tired girl!  I am so looking forward to things calming down and getting back to the blog.  I really enjoy sharing my messy life on here and I have tons of great topics to share such as our experience in buying a short sale home, packing tips, summer bucket list fun, and tons more!

Today, though, I wanted to take a moment and share my thoughts on a new skin care product line called Vidaña Beauty.  They so generously sent me their entire new line of anti-aging skin care products to review.  The new product line consists of:

facial cleanser | day cream | night cream | eye cream | eye serum

Vidaña Beauty is ran by two sisters here in Las Vegas and all their products are also manufactured locally.  I am all for supporting local business!  Their family has been in the health & beauty industry for over 30 years.

I've been using the products now for about a month and I am pretty happy with them.  Being in Las Vegas, I love that they offer sun block protection and hydrates the skin.  Last week, I was out in the sun and got my cheeks a little burned, so my skin was so dry and flaky!  I used the day and night cream regularly and it made a huge difference!  My face was not as tight and dry.

I honestly do not love the smell of the facial cleanser.  It's a bit overpowering for me personally.  The other products don't such a strong scent at all and I like that.  And, I'm not really sure what the difference is between the eye serum and the eye cream. I'm using them of course, in the hopes of minimizing some of those laugh wrinkles I'm noticing around my eyes lately ;)

As most of you know, I'm not too frilly or girly and when it comes to skin care regimen, I am not the most consistent.  As I'm get older, though, I have definitely realized that I really do need to take better care of my skin.  It's the only face I have and I want it to look healthy and bright as long as possible!

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Review

As a member of Influenster I periodically get some pretty cool products to try out via their VoxBox program.  In my latest VoxBox came a full-size jar of Neutrogena's new Hyrdo Boost Water Gel.  Being that I live in the desert (Viva Las Vegas!)  any facial or skin care product that promises my skin will be drenched my skin in hydration has my attention.

I was excited to try the product right away, especially since my current moisturizer had ran out and it wasn't one I was going to purchase again, as I didn't love the results.  The jar came with a pamphlet explaining the technology behind the gel, how it works, and ingredients.  You can read all about it HERE.

I have been using the gel for about a month now and I am loving it.  I use it twice daily, morning and night after I was my face.  A little goes a long way.  I really like that once it's applied it dries almost instantly and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth.  My face never feels or looks oily or greasy.  Another big plus is that it didn't make my skin break out, like some other moisturizers can do.  It also smells really nice and fresh, which makes me feel like me skin is clean and bright.  I don't wear makeup everyday and even when I do, it's pretty light, so I don't want to have dry blotchy skin!  So far, I think it's doing a great job on my skin!

Although I was given this product, all reviews & thoughts represent my opinion based on personal use and results. #BehindTheGlow #Neutrogena #contest

Friday Five | Things I'm Loving Right Now

I'm really looking forward to this weekend!  Tonight I have book club with my girls and it's our 2 year anniversary!  I can't believe we've lasted this long but I'm so glad for it because it is something I look forward to each month.  It's just a fun time to indulge a little in yummy food, wine, and especially good company!  You can read more about why I love book club and how to start one of your own book clubs HERE!  So, number one on my list of 5 things I am really loving right now is gonna be my book club!

Two more thing I'm really loving right now are my new facial cleanser and moisturizer.  I've always just bought facial cleansers and moisturizers at CVS or Target.  Nothing fancy.  However, as I'm getting older I thought it would be a good idea to invest a little more in my face, being it's the first thing people see, right?  I went to Sephora a few weeks ago and although I felt quite overwhelmed, I ended up purchasing the Philosophy Purity Made Simple Cleanser.  I normally would buy cleansers with some sort of exfoliation because I felt they got a better clean, but like I said, I'm getting older and I thought something a little more gentle on my skin would be best.  I really love that it's a one-step cleanser.  It is great at removing makeup and it's gentle enough to use everyday after my workouts.  The best thing is that my skin doesn't feel dry or tight after using it, like other cleansers I've tried.  I stuck to  Philosophy and also purchased their Hope in a Jar moisturizer.  So far, I'm really liking it too!  It's light and airy and hasn't made me break out! YAY :) I purchased the original, but I'll be sure to get the one with SPF next time.

Another thing I can't get enough of lately is Vita Coco Cafe.  This stuff is so refreshing. It's made with coconut water so it's packed with electrolytes.  Add a shot of espresso and a splash of milk and it makes for a great pick-me-up!  I like to have one before/after a long run or well, just because they are delicious!  If you haven't tried it, you must!

Lastly, I'm really diggin' my Garmin Forerunner 15 with hear rate monitor!  It was an anniversary gift from my mom & sister in August and it totally rocks.  It gives me all the stats I need for my runs and workouts (when used in Indoor mode) and also serves as a step counter during the day.  I promise to give a full review soon!

So, there ya have it!  What kinds of things are you loving right now?  Sharing is caring :)
