Week 5 Half Marathon Training | Recap

Last week was a great week.  We survived the first week of school with our big third grader.  It was easier than I thought to get back into the routine and I must admit it was nice not to hear the bickering of my two kiddos all day.  Jason and I also celebrated our 17 year anniversary and enjoyed an amazing dinner at a new modern Japanese restaurant called Yonaka.  Seriously, to die for delicious.  He also gave me a sweet little gift card to Lululemon.  He knows me well and knows that no matter how much I've said I want some Lulu in my life, I'd never actually go and spend that much money on clothes!  It was a nice treat for sure.  Lastly, Friday was Book Club meeting and that's always such a good time.  Needless to say, I did not stick to my "diet" most of the week.  I did get my miles and workouts in, though.  

Here's the training recap for week 5:

Monday: Pure Intensity Training class (cardio & strength training)

Tuesday: Muscle Resistance Training class 

Wednesday:  3 miles on the treadmill

Thursday:  Strength Training 1 hr. with personal trainer & 2 miles on the treadmill

Friday: 4 miles on the treadmill

Saturday: 5 brutal miles outside

Sunday: REST


This week I'm going to change up my routine a bit so that I am not doing all the running at the end of the week.  Let's see if it works out better for me.  Oh and I got a foam roller.  Life changing.  Do you have one?
